Okay I've been more into canon warrior cats spaces and I've seen a few things I seriously thought everyone knew was bad. It makes me sick to have to explain to multiple people why these are bad, then just get a hand saying "well I like them!" Or the excuse that warriors are so related it doesn't matter. Usually I'd agree but in some cases it not alright, distantly distantly related I don't care that much about but cats who are directly cousins, even siblings is not alright. I think FernIvy is cute but the fact they are related and the fact there is no way they don't know their related makes it icky.
Like CinderxFire is not a good ship, he was her mentor! HawkxIvy is so bad I don't even know how anyone could ship it. SwiftxBright….. the two are full cousins, their parents are littermates. DovexBumble just makes me sad cause it implies she gave in to a guy that wouldn't stop asking even when she clearly didn't like his back and said no. AshxSquilf feels self explanatory but for some reason people really ship them still.
CrowxFeather is so popular but it's the same as StormxSquirrel, a warrior going after a apprentice is creepy and gross and it needs to be addressed. This is the same case for FernxDust because he was stated to be going after her while she was an apprentice, to the point he ignored Ashpaw. I feel like people never address shipping in these cases but it needs to be. It set a narrative that is stated in the books to be bad. No warrior should be flirting or crushing on a apprentice, especially when it's cases that they'll get together once the apprentice is a warrior. While SpottedxThistle is almost 100% known to be bad Crow and Feather isn't? It's just a double standard that doesn't make sense to me.
(I know Thistle started gr00ming Spotty while she was just a kit and is more toxic but it's still a warrior going after a apprentice. I can't see how it's not stated as much. Storm and Squirrel is gross but Crow and Feather isn't. Fern and Dust is cute on paper but when broken down is much scarier, reading it makes me feel sick and seeing people ship it makes me want to yell. It's not cute for a warrior to reciprocate a apprentices feelings. Cinder having a crush on Fireheart is fine, even cute, but the moment he says he does as well it's not. Storm being jealous and crushing on Squirrelpaw is disgusting. No say about it.)
